Student Government
Student government, represented at THS in a Student Senate, is a crucial component of our school, representing the voice of students and advocating for their interests. By actively participating in decision-making processes, student government members ensure that the needs and aspirations of the student body are taken into account when shaping events, policies, and extracurricular activities.
Moreover, student government offers valuable opportunities for personal and leadership development, as students gain skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Through representing their classmates and sharing their opinions, student government members actively contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering a sense of ownership and pride within the student body. Overall, student government plays an essential role in empowering students, developing their leadership abilities, and creating an environment where all students can thrive.
The Student Senate is made up of ASB Executive Board Members as well as elected class officers and class representatives. In addition, club presidents and senators from each “White 2 Class” have voices in our Student Senate. Meetings are open to anyone to attend and are held on the first Tuesday of each month in Mr. Mac’s room, B-11.
