EAGLES GET SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT - BEAT WEST 42-0 ON HOMECOMING

"The Eagles won their homecoming tilt with West Bakersfield 42-0 on Friday night. The Eagle defense once again pitched a shutout. The starting defense has only given up 7 points (1 touchdown) in the last 12 quarters of football.  Also for the 3rd week in a row everyone got the opportunity to play. With league play starting this Friday for the Eagles, the team is in good shape health wise. The offense continued its big play capabilities with 28 points in 10 plays and completed 4 out of 4 passes, 2 for touchdowns. The team had touchdown plays for 66, 31, and 78 yards during the game, keeping the offense in high gear. Daxton Calagna was the leading rusher with 102 on only 4 carries. On defense Lane Miller led the team in tackles.

Ocean League play started for the rest of the league last Friday and the Eagles eagerly await the first league game at Santa Maria this coming Friday night at 7:30 pm. That is a different starting time than our home games.  The JV game is at 4:30 and the varsity at 7:30 at Santa Maria High School. We are hoping the Eagle fans and community can make the trek down to North Santa Barbara County for the game. "
