THS Football Headed to Idaho in August for the "Rumble"

The 2023 THS Eagle Football Team will open their season in Rexburg, Idaho playing in the Rocky Mountain Rumble Kickoff Classic. The “Rumble” consists of 8 teams from Idaho playing 8 teams from other states, this include Utah, Colorado and California. The Eagles will be playing Sugar-Salem High School, who has won 4 of the last 5 Idaho 3A State Championships.  Division 3A in Idaho is for schools with enrollment of 320-649. Idaho does all of the division alignments by enrollment only, unlike California which if you win consistently you get moved up divisions. To get invited to this event our team’s successes over the past few years was a big factor. 

The invitation for this great experience was originally brought to our attention by THS’s previous principal Josh Aston. He came to our area from Minico High School in Idaho and helped us set this trip in motion.  Our players, parents and community members made this trip possible by participating in fundraisers during the spring and summer of 2022. We were able to raise enough money to make this great trip possible. This group of people did a tremendous job making sure this trip would happen. 

Our players, coaches and parents are extremely excited to be making this trip and look forward to representing our school, community and the Central Coast in a positive light. The players have been working hard since January to get ready for the season and we hope to kick off the 2023 season with a great experience in Idaho.
