Coaching Resources

CIF COACHES TRAINING

CA Ed Code, CIF, and TUSD require ALL coaches--both paid and volunteer--to complete the following training and certifications:

District Office Clearance Athletics Office Clearance

CPR and FIRST AID

  • renewal every two years
  • TUSD offers free hands-on CPR training each August

NFHS: Fundamentals of Coaching
Employment Packet NFHS: Concussions in Sports
DOJ Clearance NFHS: First Aid, Health, and Safety
TB Assessment 

NFHS: Heat Illness Prevention

  • renewal of Heat Illness training every two years (pair with CPR)
SIPE: “Mandated Child Abuse Reporting for Educators”

NFHS: Sudden Cardiac Arrest

  • renewal of SCA training every two years (pair with CPR)
SIPE: “Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Non-Supervisory Personnel SB 1343”

 

IMPORTANT: Upon completion of NFHS courses, please submit completion certificates via email or hard copy to the athletic director promptly. Reimbursement for NFHS courses is possible with emailed receipt from NFHS.
