Last year, our girls' track team made history by securing the CIF Central Section Championship. Their remarkable performance showcased the incredible talent, hard work, and determination that define our athletic program. The triumph of our Eagles stands as a testament to the relentless pursuit of greatness and the strong bonds forged among our student-athletes.
In addition to our exceptional athletes, we are blessed with a supportive community that rallies behind our teams. From packed stadiums to spirited pep rallies, the passion and enthusiasm of our Templeton community create an electrifying atmosphere. The unwavering support from our community fuels our athletes' motivation, allowing them to soar to new heights and achieve great success as players and as teammates.

In 2018/2019 Templeton High joined the Central Coast Athletic Association as part of the California Interscholastic Federation(CIF) Central Section. The CIF-Central is the governing body of high school athletics in the central and southern portions of the San Joaquin Valley, the Eastern Sierra region, and as of the 2018/19 season, San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County on the Central Coast. It is one of ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). As of the 2020–21 academic year, the Central Section consists of 18 athletic leagues.
Athletic Information
Each year, 300 + THS students in grades 9-12 take the opportunity to participate in a variety of CIF Central Section sectioned athletic programs. We field teams over three seasons with different sports competing each season. Below is our season breakdown for current sports we offer at THS.
- Fall - Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Football, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis and Girls Volleyball
- Winter - Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball
- Spring - Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Swim, Boys Golf and Boys Tennis

THESE MUST BE DONE EACH ACADEMIC YEAR!
STEP 2 OF THE ATHLETIC CLEARANCE PROCESS (COMPLETED ONCE PER SCHOOL YEAR):
ATHLETES MUST PICK UP A HARD-COPY OF THE CIF PHYSICAL FORM "YELLOW CARD" FROM THE ATHLETIC OFFICE. AFTER THE PARENT/GUARDIAN COMPLETES AND SIGNS THE ATHLETE'S MEDICAL HISTORY ON THE FRONT, THE DOCTOR WILL COMPLETE THE PHYSICAL ON THE BACK. THE PHYSICAL MUST BE SIGNED BY AN MD OR DO AND DATED ON OR AFTER MAY 30, 2022. THE PHYSICAL FORM MUST BE HANDED TO THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR OR SHEILA FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL. DO NOT TURN THIS IN TO ANYONE ELSE OR LEAVE IT IN A MAILBOX.
**Faxed or emailed physical forms are not accepted to ensure the authenticity of the information and signatures. Only a physical copy on the Green Card is accepted!
The Yellow Card is a legal document and must be completed in blue or black ink.
