Eagles of the Month for November

Eagles of the Month for November

Each month staff members nominate a student they want to recognize as “Eagle of the Month”. This month teachers nominated a student who shows a “Positive Attitude”. Of the students nominated, four are drawn at random to receive a lunch out at McPhee’s Grill on Main Street. Below are our winners with a brief explanation as to why they were chosen and below that are the other students nominated this month and the staff member who nominated them. Congratulations to all of our nominees.

PARKER DUSI
Parker does not stand out because he is a loud and vocal student, but he is the student who works effectively with any student in a classroom because of his positive attitude. He had a schedule change and moved into a different one of my classes. In both classes students from many different social groups demonstrated they like and respect Parker because of his positive attitude toward all students and staff here at THS. He continually works hard in my classroom and is never sluggish or complains (even when his schedule was changed). He is a joy to have in my classroom!” -- Beth Kline, THS Social Studies Department

LUCY HAUGE
“Lucy has a positive attitude that brightens the classroom culture and inspires her peers. Her optimism and willingness to help others creates a delightful learning environment. Her enthusiastic participation and eagerness to embrace challenges makes her a role model for her classmates.” -- Grant Craton, THS Social Studies Department

ARTURO BUCIO
“Arturo comes to class everyday with a quiet confidence. He is focused, engaged, and willing to help others learn, a rare student these days. Additionally, Arturo is helpful outside of class as well. He is the type of student every teacher wishes for.” -- Kaitlyn Zak, THS English Department

CHRISTIAN LUCERO
“Since the day I met him, I have not heard about Christian having a bad day. He approaches every opportunity in school or with his friends as an opportunity to do good. He stays positive in times of success and times of struggle, and he is a role model to his classmates for how to perseverance with a great attitude. He is always helping to get materials for his classmates, and he is a friend to all. I am excited to see where his positive attitude takes him.” -- Nicholas Kubas, THS Math Department
