Welcome to the Board of Trustees' Web Page:
The Templeton Unified School District Board of Trustees is a five-member Board elected from the school district at large and serving rotating four year terms. In addition, the Board approved a student trustee selected from the three secondary programs - Templeton High School, Eagle Canyon Continuation High School, and Templeton Independent Study High School.
The role of the Board is to serve as a policy-making body for the school district with the expectation of providing the best possible education for our students& while conforming to Federal, State, and County laws. The District staff, headed by the Superintendent, carries out the policies and actions of the Board. Among the Board's numerous duties is the adoption of the annual budget; approval of expenditures; employment of personnel; approval of the curriculum, textbooks, and courses of study; approval of facility plans and construction contracts.
The Board adopted and annually reviews and updates as necessary the Board Governance Handbook.
Your participation in District business increases the public's awareness, promotes understanding and maintains accountability. The Board warmly welcomes your input.

2024 Provisional Appointment Information
The Board of Trustees of the Templeton Unified School District is actively seeking applicants who reside within the boundaries of the district for appointment to fill a vacancy on the Board. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Trustee Mendi Swan. Ms. Swan’s term expires in December 2024.
A Special Board Meeting was held on March 21, 2024 to interview the provisional appointment applicants and to select the appointee.
Cheryl Parks was selected by the Board of Trustees and her term will end in December 2024.
