Twenty three students from the THS Band headed to New Orleans over spring break! Along with Mr. Landers and 9 chaperones, the students participated in the National Heritage Festival as well as spent 4 full days exploring the city.
From the World War II museum, to an intimate jazz show at Preservation Hall, the group was immersed in history and art from start to finish. They toured the National Jazz Museum, learned how to cook authentic New Orleans food, took a ghost tour around town, and broke off into smaller groups for the aquarium, mansions, alligators, and so much more.
Thank you to the Band Boosters and TUSD administration for supporting our program and to Mr. Landers for planning such an amazing experience for all!
