THS Cross Country Visits VES

Members of the Templeton High School Cross Country team joined 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at VES for their “Track Tuesday” run. The high school runners were on hand to stretch with our elementary physical education classes, run with them, answer questions and speak into the lives of some of our youngest Eagles sharing from their own lives lessons they have learned that connect with lessons being taught at Vineyard. Any Vineyard Elementary student can share with you what SOAR means. To them it is an acronym - Self management, Organized and ready, Aim High, and Respect for yourself and others. But in one of the most meaningful parts of the event, our cross country runners shared in small groups how these important traits have impacted their lives in athletics, in school and in life.

I huge thank you to the Principal Devon Hodgson and the VES staff and to our high school cross country team for helping to inspire and encourage our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
